Also known as Udhagamandalam, Ootacamund and abbreviated as Udhagai, Ooty is located 80km from Coimbatore and is also the capital of Nilgiri district. The official language in Ooty is Tamil but local people can understand and communicate in Hindi and English too.  Ooty has been called “Queen of Hill Stations” due to the unique and natural beauty of this place.
